What should I check before following up with a lead?

Open the lead record and review the profile, related deals and notes. Check the owner, status and scheduled follow-up before contacting the prospect. Record the outcome so the next person does not repeat the same conversation.

How do I turn an interested lead into a client?

Related existing guide: Add a lead and organise the next follow-up

Use the lead record’s conversion-to-client action when the prospect becomes a customer. Review the contact details first. After conversion, check the resulting client record rather than assuming every relationship or permission transferred exactly as intended.

Can I download my leads list?

Use Export in the leads area if it is available to your account. Review the exported file before relying on it. Store it securely: an offline copy may contain personal contact information and will not automatically reflect later changes.

Can I create a deal while adding a lead?

If your lead form includes Create Deal, select it and complete the deal information while adding the lead. Review both records afterward. If the checkbox is absent, ask your administrator whether your installed version offers this workflow.

Why is information missing from a new website enquiry?

Related existing guide: Collect enquiries with a lead form

Check whether the relevant field is enabled in your lead form. A disabled field is not presented for the prospect to complete. If the field is necessary, enable it for future enquiries and request the missing information directly for existing records.

How do I organize lead sources and deal categories?

Related existing guide: Add a lead and organise the next follow-up

For: company administrators.

Use Lead Settings to maintain the sources and deal categories your team uses. Agree on a short, consistent list before entering new opportunities. If a choice is missing, ask an administrator to add or adjust it rather than selecting an unrelated category.

Where do deal pipelines and their stages come from?

Related existing guide: Track an opportunity with deals and pipelines

For: company administrators.

Your company configures the sales pipeline in Lead Settings. Use stages that describe meaningful steps in your own sales process. Before changing an established pipeline, review how your team is using its stages so existing opportunities remain understandable.

Does round-robin lead assignment mean every employee gets every lead?

Related existing guide: Add a lead and organise the next follow-up

No. Round-robin refers to rotating assignments among participants. Ask your administrator how the available assignment controls are configured for your team. Do not assume that naming a lead source automatically creates an integration or assigns every employee.
