Record time against your work

Use time logs to keep a record of time spent on projects and tasks.

Who this is for: Team members and authorised managers

Time logs record work duration. They are different from attendance, which records when a person clocks in or out for the working day.

Steps

  1. Open Time Logs and choose Log Time, or use the timer action available to your account.

  2. Select the relevant project and task, then the employee when your role permits recording time for someone else.

  3. For a manual log, enter the actual start and end dates and times and add a useful description.

  4. Save and review the resulting duration. If you used a running timer, stop it when the work finishes.

  5. Review the project's time logs or the time log report when checking recorded work.

If you get stuck

Check the timezone, date range and employee filters if a log looks wrong. Ask a manager about any approval or billing rules in your workspace. Recording time does not itself create an invoice or mark an employee present.
